Hello winemakers! I’m Bryan and I run the site here at MakeGoodWine.com. It’s a pleasure to have you here!
There is a misconception that making wine at home is difficult. I’ve even heard people say that it’s more difficult than brewing beer. My goal on this site is to show how easy and rewarding it actually is to make wine. It’s not nearly as difficult as people think.
I started my wine making journey nearly 20 years ago when a co-worker and friend got interested in brewing. His goal was brewing beer while I was more drawn to making wine. I would come to find that many of the concepts are the same and as we both explored the brewing process I became more and more hooked on learning as much as I could. Nearly 20 vintages later and I’m still going strong!
I aim to offer you, my loyal readers, all the tips, tricks and insights I’ve learned from my nearly 20 years of making wine at home. No matter if you’re interested in making wine from wine kits, fresh juice or fresh fruit, there will be something for you.
But that’s not all. In addition to the wine making posts, I have many posts coming on
fresh fruit recipes, history and origin of wine, wine education and some interesting interviews with professional winemakers. We might even get into growing grapes in your backyard that you can use in your own wine making!
I truly hope that you find something useful here at MakeGoodWine.com and come away knowing a little more than you did before.
Thanks for being a reader!
Make Good Wine has several methods of monetization to earn revenue and keep the site free for users. One of those is by participating in affiliate programs like Amazon Associates.
When users of the site click on an affiliate link and end up making a qualifying purchase we are paid a commission. You are not incurring any extra fees by purchasing through affiliate links. Many times they are actually through exclusive discounts I arrange for readers of the site.
My promise to readers is that I never recommend products I have not personally tested myself. My goal is to make sure I only recommend quality products. Additionally, I do not test or review products solely based on affiliate relationships.
If you click on specific links and make a purchase that I get credit for I greatly appreciate it, but it’s not necessary. Not every outbound link on this site is an affiliate link, but many of them are, and you should be aware that they use third-party cookies to track your purchases (I have no access to that data).
Thank you for your support.
